With CSV data getting more and more complicated byt the day, having low-level access to the data in an easy way is something that even beginning perl programmers might use.

Having complicated Object Oriented interfaces with 100s of options will most likely be the best and fastest sulotion to read any crippled CSV source, but most CSV sources still show some sanity in their layout.

This talk will cover new features in Text::CSV_XS that will make parsing and (re)writing CSV data a lot easier.

The talk will also peek into the future of what is happenin in CSV land nowadays.
