Himalaya Restaurant, 23 Kreschatyk st., Kiev for good Indian food and freshly made chai (tea with milk); beautiful furniture and interior, friendly service
Panorama Club Restaurant, 12th floor of Dnipro Hotel, 1 Kreschatyk st., Kiev for good Ukrainian food (although it's not quite cheap, hmm); it's not called "Panorama" for nothing, the view is indeed very very nice

Besarabsky Market, Besarabsky Square 2, on intersection with Kreschatyk st., Kiev for fresh fruit, tomatoes, vegetables, pickles, nuts, fish and other seafood, flowers, and an amazingly wonderful shop ( Prestige Beer ) with magnificent Belgian beer
