How do I find the LPW Event?
The London Perl Workshop 2012 will be hosted at the University of Westminster, New Cavendish Campus. The day will start at 09:20 with Mark's opening address but we advise you arrive from 08:45 so you can register for the event. The following map is a guide for the day:

Will there be food or drink?
There will be coffee and cake served in the morning and the evening social event has a sponsored buffet and complimentary initial drinks. You will need to scavenge your own lunch, however there are a number of food places in easy walking distance to the event, many more on Tottenham Court Road which is just a ten minute walk.
As a speaker what do I need?
Speakers will need to bring/do:
- Their slides on their own laptop;
- A backup copy of the slides including a pdf version in case they need to use a different laptop!;
- A connector to adapt their own laptop to a standard VGA socket - the university will not have adaptors!;
- Any notes that accompany your slides or links, you may hand out material including company advertising.
- It is best to arrive at the start of the break before your talk giving you ten minutes to set up, many speakers attend the talk preceeding theirs;
- Try to test your equipment in the room you are in during a break or before the conference start (between 9.00 and 9.20 is an ideal time);

20/11/12 After Event Social
Once again we invite you to join us after the workshop has finished for a sponsored beverage and light bite at our post-event social. This year it is being sponsored by net-a-porter, antibodyMX, Evozon and Shadowcat Systems and will be held at the King and Queen, Foley Street just two minutes walk from the venue.

20/11/12 The Pre-Event Social Event
Each year we meet on the night before the London Perl Workshop at one of the many pubs in and around London.
This year we will be attending the Magpie, reservation for upstairs, in Bishopsgate. Please visit this website for more information.
The social will take place starting 18:00, the nearest tube station is Liverpool Street. Some folks will likely be there even before the reservation time.
