The Facts and Figures: Week Two

22/07/13 18:31 by Mark Keating (‎mdk‎)

It is a Monday evening in the United Kingdom so it is time for the weekly news and statistics for the London Perl Workshop. Let us look at what has happened in the past seven days in our Facts and Figures news.

Sponsors:

Submitted Talks: We have had two more presentations submitted this week:

Tim Bunce has submitted an advanced talk on profiling Memory Usage, I have a strong feeling this will be accepted as Tim is a leading light and an old friend of the event.

Dave Cross has submitted a workshop on Modern Perl for non-Perl Programmers. The organisers have accepted this and it has been added to the programme. Dave has presented training at a great number of events, and has given his valuable time freely to the LPW for many years (training at least six times). It is great to have him back with us.

Attendees: There are currently 38 people signed up to the conference from 6 countries and 16 user groups. Hello all, make sure you keep reading the news page, and mdk's blog at blogs.perl.org for on-going details. You can also like us on Facebook.

The most popular groups so far are:

* London.pm (no great surprise)

* NorthWestEngland.pm (go the local group of the organisers)

* Drinkers.pm (those Wascally Wabbits)

Keep following us for more weekly updates.
