The talk will explore the development of an interactive history web app created using the Meteor.js framework, the Google Maps JavaScript API and Mongodb as well as javascript data visualisation libraries, providing a spatial visualisation of historical events, both national and on the local scale. It is hoped that the app will be a tool for people interested in African history, encouraging users to submit their own personal histories or found historical artefacts.
