Made of legacy problems leading to inconsistent data, alternatives designed by commitee, misunderstood concepts covered by expensive ISO standards nobody wants to buy, library sciences (computers for library management) is deserted by computer engineers while our data still lies on MARC (43 years old formats) based serializations (ISO2709, MARC-JSON, MARC-XML) and its procession of painfull tools and libraries.
Sharing ideas with acmeism movement and PSGI specification-based success to create very productive communities, MARC::MIR is a bridge between libraries and modernity and fun.
This presentations talks about the big pictures, the specifications and the DSL.
