Building and Consuming HTTP Services in Perl 6 with Cro
Building and Consuming HTTP Services in Perl 6 with Cro aimed at Beginner and is held in English. This talk starts on 2018-04-05 at 12:20 for 40 minutes. It takes place at the Dom.
Cro is a set of libraries and tools for building and consuming services in Perl 6. Cro centers around asynchronous pipelines implemented using the Perl 6 Supply type, which represents an asynchronous stream of events.
This session will briefly introduce Perl 6 supplies, before considering the pipeline "plumbing" layer Cro builds on top of them. It will then explore the "porcelain" layer for writing HTTP applications and making calls to HTTP services. Support for WebSockets, HTTP/2, and OpenAPI will also be considered.
