I work for the company Textkernel. Textkernel is a dutch software company who specializes in semantic technology for the HR industry. This talk will focus on our CV Extraction software which processes around 5 million documents on a yearly basis. The software "understands" the natural language of the documents and transforms it into structured information. It understands 16 different languages mostly West European Languages but also Chinese and Russian. You are invited to follow me on a tour through our software and learn about how Perl is used there. Hopefully this will prove a more unusual setting to find perl.
