The Café at Zoopla

This year's workshop will be held at 'The Café' at Zoopla's London office, near the iconic Tower Bridge. The Café is a dedicated event space inside their office, where the main track will take place with a capacity for approximately 100 attendeess. We will also have access to a separate break-out room, with capacity for ~15 people, that will be available for open sessions, BOFs, hackathons, etc. Quiet sitting areas throughout the venue will allow for a rich hallway track.

Location & Getting There

Zoopla's London office is at The Cooperage, 5 Copper Row, London, SE1 2LH, a nine minute walk from the London Bridge Station. London Bridge serves multiple train and tube lines, so it is likely to be the easiest way to get to the venue.

Where to stay

While it is possible to find accommodation near the venue, we making use of London's excellent public transport network to cast a wider net. Budget hotel chains in the UK include Travelodge, Holiday Inn Express and Premiere Inn, but there are also lots of other large hotel chains, as well as small independent places. If you aim to spend less, look for hotels outside of Zone 1 along the Northern or Jubilee lines.

To use the public transport in London, you don't need to buy any tickets. You can tap with your phone or credit card when you enter and leave stations, or when you get on the bus. There is a daily fare cap that comes in handy if you want to do some touristing as well. Make sure you always use the same payment method for every journey. The tube as well as trains and buses in London are frequent and reliable, but can get very busy during the weekeday rush hour.

Planning your journeys in London works well with Google Maps. TFL offers their own journey planner and they also have smartphone apps. A very popular alternative is Citymapper. All of these use the same open data format, so they will all show you correct data, but may offer different routes depending on their feature set.
