2018 saw the end of the much loved CPAN Pull Request Challenge. In its absence I decided it was time for something new to fill the gap, and so the Perl Weekly Challenge was launched in March 2019.

Now 8 months in we have over 110 active members submitting solutions on a weekly basis to one easy and one hard problem in Perl 5, Perl 6 (and occasionally other languages too!). In this talk I will share more statistics, talk about side effects that I never expected and tell you how you can get involved as a Perl Weekly contributor, mentor and champion!

This talk - like the Perl Weekly Challenge - is suitable for all, regardless of your level of experience.
