EU is getting new Cybersecurity regulations!

These are mostly directed at manufacturers and critical infrastructure providers, but since Open Source ecosystems are upstream, they will also affect anyone publishing on CPAN.

What are the implications? Who benefits, and what needs to be done to comply?

In this talk, Salve J. Nilsen intends to share his findings on the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) and how it is likely to impact us. He'll lay out the fundamentals of the law, the different ways it is likely to shape the landscape, and some ideas on how Open Source communities may not only survive – but even (with a little elbow-grease) thrive – going forward.

Salve is one of the old farts in Oslo Perl Mongers. He currently works at GlobalConnect (a Nordic telecom provider), but on his days off, he spends time helping the CPAN Security Group prepare for the coming changes.
