DESCRIPTION:Regexes are the weasels of the programming world: compact\, imm
ensely powerful\, doggedly single-minded in their task\, and with a nasty
tendency to maul you\, when and where you least expect it. And Perl regexe
s are the biggest\, most powerful\, and potentially meanest code weasels o
f all: wolverines in your source.\n\nThis talk demonstrates and explains a
new Perl module (Regexp::Debugger) that helps tame unruly regexes by prov
iding live interactive run-time visualizations of any regex in your code\,
as it matches. The debugger allows you to track capture variables\, follo
 w recursive subpattern matches\, set break-points within a regex match\, a
nd even step backwards through the matching process to work out exactly wh
ere things started going so horribly wrong.

DESCRIPTION:Don't you hate it when you encounter a bug in production and yo
u can't see what has been going on up until it happened? \n\nRunops::Recor
der is a alternate runloop for perl that writes down what your program doe
s to disk for playback later. As of this moment it mostly records COPs\, e
ntersub and dies but eventually (hopefully?) it'll record variable state c
hanges and other meaningful information. The intent is to be lightweight en
ough for it to be enabled in production at most times.\n\nIt also comes wi
th a viewer and some helper classes for you to write your own playback too

it will inspire you to try your hand at writing a Perl 6 module too!

DESCRIPTION:As of this summer\, Rakudo Perl 6 has a debugger. It features s
ingle stepping\, breakpoints\, introspecting and changing variables\, gett
ing stack traces and more. It also has a REPL mode that enables code to be
entered and debugged right away.\n\nIn this talk\, I'll demonstrate the d

gging some of the trickier scenarios\, such as grammars\, macros and eval'
