Graphics Modules that can be used to create games such as OpenGL/GLFW and SDL3 exist for Perl. These backends have commonalities and differences and are intrinsically very complex, and, for most Perl Coders, probably unfamiliar. GLAM is an abstraction layer simplifying the graphical output and user interactions, allowing the developer to just focus on the Game Logic. The back-end can be switched with just one line, and the intention is to produce identical outputs regardless. A fully functional interactive Carrom game will be used as an example.

Disclaimer...this is my first attempt at non-terminal graphics/games in Perl.
