Selenium controls and automates browsers primarily for testing, and Selenium itself can be controlled from various languages including Perl 5 and 6. The presentation will explain how Selenium works and demonstrate its use with Perl 5. The developers will try to provide each registered attendee with an approximately 20 page printed manual containing about 25 small complete examples. The workshop will also be re-run at 14:00 on Sunday 26th November at the London Hackspace (https://wiki.london.hackspace.org.uk/view/London_Hackspace).

To use your own computer please install the Chrome browser and Perl 5 package Selenium::Remote::Driver and its dependencies beforehand because internet access may be limited. The developers plan to run a local web server with offline WiFi if necessary.
