So… I'll be honest. I don't know anything about Perl… Peter Makholm (the boyfriend who knows lots about Perl) invited me to London and attend the workshop. How romantic! I said "yes" in a heartbeat.
When I first met Peter, he introduced me to beer tasting, which has been a great success. He's also introduced me to other great interests such as playing Fluxx and Chrononauts. I'm thus predispositioned to believe that all his interests are great - including Perl! Thus I attend this workshop with a curious mind.
I'm a sociologist which means I'm educated in social and culture stuff. I also practice and teach Aikido - a Japanese non-violent martial arts. I'm usually a very extrovert person, but seeing that my knowledge of Perl is limited (hey - at least I know how to spell it), I'll probably be rather quiet. Feel free to explain what you're talking about if I look completely lost :D |
