Continuando in parte i discorsi nati lo scorso anno all'IPW 2011 a Torino relativi alla professione, al lavoro e all'imprenditoria nel settore informatico, propongo di sperimentare insieme l'applicazione di uno strumento nuovo che ho acquisito in quest'ultimo anno.
Nel dicembre 2011 la Wiley ha pubblicato un libro intitolato Business Model Generation che ho studiato per lavoro negli ultimi mesi e che descrive uno strumento omonimo che ho iniziato ad applicare.
Si tratta di uno schema di rapida compilazione che permette di ragionare in modo qualitativo su un progetto imprenditoriale, sia esso compiuto o ancora in fase di ideazione: tutto quello che il classico schema "business plan" rende complicato e impreciso, su questo schema può essere espresso e comunicato in modo efficace.
La mia proposta è quella di spiegare in breve lo strumento e di applicarlo alle vostre esperienze lavorative: alla tua impresa, alle imprese che hai incontrato e che ritieni interessanti per qualche motivo, all'impresa che hai solo iniziato a ideare e che magari hai ancora nel cassetto come progetto.
Focalizzerei l'esame ad attività imprenditoriali nell'ambito dello sviluppo software, della fornitura di servizi informatici, siano essi web, mobile o internet sulle quali possiamo far sorgere confronti e ragionare insieme per scandagliare altre declinazioni e per migliorarne l'efficacia.
Lo strumento permette, tramite una semplice compilazione dello schema (vedi PDF allegato), una rapida descrizione che potrà essere utile per analisi successive anche nei mesi seguenti, tuttavia la condivisione e il confronto durante il meeting penso possano generare anche risultati immediati, almeno per chi attivamente parteciperà a questo esperimento.

Lo schema proposto da questo strumento, a mio parere, potrebbe in parte rendere più interessante l'acquisizione di competenze e forza lavoro, punti che erano emersi come dolorosamente difficili l'anno scorso. Nello stesso tempo offrire un quadro di valutazione più chiaro e semplice rispetto ai soliti business plan.
OK, ma perché?
Chi sceglie di lavorare in ambito IT si concentra sempre e innanzitutto sulle proprie competenze nel risolvere i problemi tecnici informatici, questa parte è certamente fondamentale, tuttavia anche capire la logica in cui ci si può muovere consente di valutare più opportunamente alternative che un tecnico puro spesso non vede. Se poi si tratta di lavorare con gli altri, ecco che l'aspetto tecnico rappresenta un fattore chiave ma non sufficiente delle mansioni da svolgere. Lo schema permette di capire se
* abbiamo una strategia d'impresa
* la nostra strategia è completa o carente
Cosa devo fare per partecipare alla discussione?
Ai partecipanti è richiesta, oltre alla volontà di esporre i propri casi, un blocchetto di postIt (colori vari sono graditi) e un pennarello adatto a scriverli con punta media e di colore nero.
Che cosa vuol dire BOF?

Continuing the talks last year all'IPW born 2011 in Turin related to the profession, work and entrepreneurship in the computer industry, I propose to experiment with you the application of a new instrument that I have acquired over the last year.
In December 2011, Wiley published a book called Business Model Generation that I studied for work in the last months and describes a tool of the same name that I started to apply.
It is a form which allows rapid filling and it permits reasoning qualitatively on a business project, whether completed or still in the planning stage: everything that the classic "business plan" makes it complicated and imprecise, this scheme can be expressed and communicated effectively.
My proposal is to briefly explain the tool and apply it to your work experience: your company, companies you've met and you find interesting for some reason, the company that you have only begun to devise and maybe you still have in the drawer as a project.
We aim at examining entrepreneurial activities in software development, the provision of services, whether web, mobile or internet on which we can raise against reason together and to probe other variations and to improve its effectiveness.
The instrument allows, through a simple graphic form filling (see attached PDF), a brief description that will be useful for further analysis in the months that followed, however, the sharing and exchange during the meeting I can also generate immediate results, at least for actively participate in this experiment.
The scheme proposed by this tool, in my opinion, it could make it more interesting in the acquisition of skills and workforce issues that had emerged as painfully difficult last year. At the same time provide a framework for assessment clearer and simpler than the usual business plan.

OK, but why?
Those who choose to work in the IT always focuses first and foremost on their skills in solving computer/developer problems, this part is certainly important, but also understand the environment in which we can move makes us able to see alternatives solutions that a pure technician often does not see. And working with others the technical aspect is a key factor but not sufficient duties to perform. The filled graph allows us to see if
