Based on Jnthn's quite excellent "code golf assistant" - a little Gtk GUI program that lets you write code while it's re-evaluating and updating the output in the background - I built a little program that lets you write a piece of code that is called at a regular interval to draw animations or imagery.

Sadly, a lightning talk slot is much too short to do any actual live coding, so I just demonstrate how the program works in general and present a little animated thingie I threw together during development of the tool.
